Here’s the work you get to do:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across five affiliated construction companies, partnering with hiring managers to hire for skilled trades, field supervisors, superintendents, project managers, estimators, and pre-construction leadership.
  • Run deep intake conversations with hiring managers so every search starts with a sharp scorecard — must-have experience, project types, jobsite realities, and the traits that actually predict success in the field.
  • Hunt passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, resume databases, trade associations, cold calls, and creative outreach that gets replies from busy builders who aren’t job hunting.
  • Turn “not interested” into accepted offers with personalized, persuasive messaging that speaks the language of construction — project work, scope, pay, travel, and growth.
  • Screen deeply for technical skill and culture fit; present a tight short list of vetted candidates rather than a pile of resumes.
  • Build a proactive talent pipeline for hard-to-fill trades and leadership roles so the business isn’t starting from zero every time a seat opens.
  • Manage the process end-to-end in our ATS — requisitions, candidate status, interview loops, offer prep, reference checks, and clean handoffs to onboarding.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers on offer strategy, compensation benchmarking, and closing plans that land the candidate.
  • Contribute to ATS optimization, sourcing playbooks, and recruiting process improvements as the function scales.
  • Track pipeline metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pass-through rates) and use the data to continuously sharpen your own results.

Here’s what makes you a great fit for this role:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a track record of closing passive candidates for supervisory, specialized, or leadership roles.
  • Mastery of passive sourcing — LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean, cold outreach, and creative channels that reach candidates who aren’t on the job boards.
  • Construction, skilled-trades, or field-operations recruiting experience is a strong plus; comfort learning the language of the trades is essential.
  • Experience working in a modern ATS and keeping requisition data clean, accurate, and reportable.
  • Exceptional relationship builder with candidates and hiring managers — you earn trust quickly and keep people informed at every stage.
  • Clear, calm communicator who can push back on unrealistic requirements and coach hiring managers through tough market realities.
  • Ownership mindset — you treat every open role like it’s your own headcount, and you don’t let searches go stale.
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to juggle multiple high-priority searches across several business units at once.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
