Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Draw blood from patients using various methods (e.g., venipuncture, capillary puncture).
• Prepare patients for blood collection, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
• Label and organize blood samples accurately.
• Ensure samples are properly stored and transported to the lab for analysis.
• Explain the blood collection process to patients, addressing any concerns or questions.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality during procedures.
• Sterilize and maintain phlebotomy equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Restock supplies and ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
• Accurately document patient information, including blood collection details and any adverse reactions.
• Ensure all paperwork and forms are completed in compliance with medical and legal requirements.
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards for blood collection procedures.
