Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Seattle, WA 98107. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

  • Delivers high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examination, treatment, monitoring, and preparation for diagnostic tests or procedures.
  • Collects and documents patient information, including vital signs, chief complaints, reviews of medications, allergies, health risk screen information, the status of extended care benefits, and other services.
  • Assists physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, and other patient care procedures as directed.
  • Coordinates patient care as directed by clinicians, company standards, and policies.
  • Assists with tasks, phone calls, and messages; document all actions.
  • Proper, concise, and complete EMR documentation and paper-based documentation for all assessments and procedures.
  • Prepares and cleans patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to protocol while maintaining infection control

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 Years of Clinic Experience Required
  • Medical Assisting Registration or Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective during emergency or high‑pressure situations.
  • Ability to interact with patients and staff with professionalism, empathy, and courtesy.

Must have qualifications/experience:

  • Medical Assisting Registration or Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program.
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant

Additional Information:

  • Location: Seattle, WA 98107
  • Job Type: 3+ months contract to hire
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Shift start & end times: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-5:30 pm
  • Workdays per week: 4 days
  • Pay Range: $20-29/hrs. on W2 without benefits
