Job Description

We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer located in Liberty Missouri 64068 with $33-$35/hour pay depending on experience for a 12-month contract, temp role. This position will provide technical support for the sales and manufacturing of standard and engineered products in compliance with company policies, manufacturing and safety procedures, and any applicable outside certification standards. Must have Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 yrs of related experience

What You’ll Do:

• Design products based on customer requirements and engineering standards
• Perform calculations and analysis to ensure product safety and performance
• Create and maintain drawings, instructions, and technical documents
• Use systems like CPQ, ERP, CAD, and PDM to support quoting and production
• Prepare product quotes including pricing, cost, and lead times
• Communicate technical information with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Research tools and manufacturing options to improve designs and reduce costs
• Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support other engineering tasks as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong mechanical and technical understanding
• Ability to read drawings and technical documents
• Good math and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of engineering principles and standards
• Experience with Microsoft Office and systems like CAD, ERP, and CPQ
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to sit for long periods and move between office and manufacturing areas
• Must follow all PPE requirements in manufacturing areas
