  • Produce high-quality machined parts to customer and engineering specifications, holding tight tolerances required for nuclear and accelerator components.
  • Contribute to facility build-out through hands-on fabrication and installation activities.
  • Support the development of machining processes and procedures as we scale our manufacturing capabilities.

Blueprint Interpretation & Documentation

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine appropriate machining processes and procedures.
  • Document work performed and maintain detailed, accurate production records.
  • Collaborate with engineers to clarify specifications and provide feedback on manufacturability.

Quality & Equipment Maintenance

  • Monitor machine operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues with machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Uphold rigorous quality standards appropriate for safety-critical components.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar precision manufacturing role.
  • Proficient in operating a variety of manual and CNC machines.
  • Experienced with Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Strong math and measurement skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Unwavering commitment to safe operations for yourself and your team members.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and evolving processes.
  • Experience in precision manufacturing for nuclear, aerospace, or defense applications is a plus but not required.

Important Notes

  • This role is fully in person in Austin, Texas. Our facility is located next to Austin Airport.
  • Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Benefits + Bonus
  • Opportunity to do foundational manufacturing work on a first-of-its-kind nuclear power system, with significant ownership and room to grow.
