Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is growing more than fresh, delicious lettuce — they’re growing careers, people, and possibilities. Our team is passionate about sustainability, innovation and delivering produce that’s better for people and the planet. With a major expansion in McAdoo, PA and a brand-new, state-of-the-art greenhouse opening in Manchester, TN , this is a rare opportunity to join a company scaling rapidly—and to grow your career right alongside them.

Watch their story at:

They’re not just growing lettuce—we’re growing a better future for farming, for our team, and for the planet. As the nation’s leading indoor leafy greens producer, we combine cutting-edge greenhouse technology with sustainable farming practices to deliver fresher, longer-lasting, and better-tasting produce.

Here, you’ll find a mission-driven team and a chance to be part of something fresh….Literally.

Why This Opportunity Is Exceptional

Big growth. Real impact. Endless opportunity.

This isn’t your typical grower role. You’ll be at the center of a high-tech, controlled environment agriculture (CEA) operation—where data, science, and precision come together to produce world-class crops.

  • Be part of something new – Help launch and scale one of the most advanced greenhouse operations in the country (Manchester) or contribute to a massively expanded facility (McAdoo)
  • Grow your career – Work alongside experienced Head Growers and leaders in a fast-scaling organization with real advancement opportunities
  • Work at the intersection of agriculture + technology – Climate systems, hydroponics, data analysis, and plant science all in one role
  • Make a difference – Play a direct role in sustainable farming and feeding communities across the U.S.
  • If you love plants, problem-solving, and working in an environment where no two days are the same—this is where you want to be.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a critical role in optimizing plant health and greenhouse performance—balancing science, systems, and hands-on execution.

  • Monitor and adjust greenhouse conditions (temperature, humidity, irrigation, water chemistry) to ensure optimal plant growth
  • Partner closely with the Head Grower to implement data-driven growing strategies
  • Mix and apply fertilizers according to precise formulas and crop schedules
  • Execute integrated pest management (IPM), including tracking, reporting, and deploying biological controls
  • Conduct daily inspections of greenhouse systems, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical or climate issues
  • Analyze plant performance, environmental data, and system outputs to drive continuous improvement
  • Support food safety, quality, and compliance standards (GMP, HACCP)
  • Participate in grower alignment meetings, trainings, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Step in to support broader greenhouse operations as needed

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in controlled environment agriculture (CEA) or hydroponic crop production
  • Experience with climate control systems such as Ridder, Hoogendoorn, Priva, or Argus
  • Strong understanding of plant physiology, water chemistry, and growing systems
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and system monitoring tools
  • Leafy greens experience is a plus—but not required

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • You’re both analytical and hands-on —equally comfortable with data and getting into the greenhouse
  • You think in systems and solve problems proactively
  • You’re adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You’re a strong communicator who can share knowledge and influence others
  • You bring a positive attitude, accountability, and a true team mindset

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 lbs
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent situations
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Our people are our roots. You’ll join a passionate, mission-driven team that’s disrupting how fresh food is grown and delivered — while building a workplace where every team member can grow, contribute, and make a lasting impact.

We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities to grow with us — both personally and professionally.

Come grow something extraordinary .
